DEBORAH NELSON TO HEIGHTEN HALIFAX STYLE
HALIFAX, NS--Halifax will become a little more chic this January as the city welcomes the return of internationally acclaimed style and design expert, Deborah Nelson.
For the past ten years, the Nova Scotia native has built an impressive celebrity status in Toronto where she showcased her talents on more than 150 episodes of various HGTV lifestyle shows and worked as a Design Editor at Canadian House and Home Magazine. Most recently, Nelson hosted her signature segment, Deb On a Dime, on the wildly popular CBC talk show, Steven & Chris.
While some may question Nelson’s decision to leave her glamorous lifestyle in Toronto, the design diva is optimistic about the possibilities her bold move into the Halifax market hold.
“I’m so excited to be back home,” says Nelson. “I’m anxious to see where this incredible new chapter in my life will lead.”
Nelson's return to Halifax provides Maritimers with an international style and design expert in their very own back yard - a treat so luxurious that it has been awarded as a grand prize giveaway in national contests.
This month, Nelson will become available for private two-hour consultations where she will visit her client's homes to tackle the toughest of design and style questions. During the star-worthy session, Nelson will pay special attention to each living space to understand her client’s challenges, desires and personal taste.
Following the session, Nelson provides her clients with a full set of notes and recommendations that will allow home owners to implement their design projects on their own time, and more importantly, within their budget.
In addition to providing exclusive consultations, Nelson will be renovating an old shoe repair shop she recently purchased into a unique North End design boutique. Nelson is currently in talks with a national television network about filming a pilot for a new lifestyle reality series based around her new business venture.
